Organic Fair Trade Coffee Supreme Coffee
The compact wooden tables, matched stools & high ceiling provided a nice atmosphere - the venue filled up really quickly towards the end of our meal (we went really early). Coffee was too bitter for my liking & the food was average.
I ordered the Tom Phat Breakfast, changing the avocado to hash browns since they were the same price. The poached eggs were overcooked & tasted more like hard boiled eggs. The hash browns were over fried in oil reused a few too many times, the inside had a weird taste too. Mushrooms were gigantic, but not as tasty as they were juicy. The hollandaise sauce had the consistency of margarine.
Other things that were the same price were the mushrooms, toast & salmon. Which explains why the smoked salmon in the corn fritters dish wasn't the freshest. It definitely wasn't the smartest time to try corn fritters for the 1st time 'cos I still have a really bad impression of them. Too much corn kernels for me.
Unfortunately, the photos disappeared with the death of my memory card.
Maybe it's the fusion food that draws people - Omelette with crispy roti, chives, bacon and a Laotian salsa; Sri scrambled eggs with spring onion, curry leaves, cherry tomatoes and crispy roti; and Uncle Ho's Breakfast with grilled marinated pork chop, crispy fried egg, tomato, cucumber and rice. But I doubt I'll be going back anytime soon.
