Best Eggs Florentine
Where I held my birthday party. Loved the atmosphere, the lights, the service. Even the toilets were unusual. Had dinner there twice - one wasn't good except the garlic cheese bread, the other being my birthday with soft & tasty gnocchi. Lunch (entrees & dessert) wasn't fantastic. Breakfast definitely is their best.
I ordered Madame Florentine ($13.50) - poached eggs, lots of atlantic salmon, spinach and hollandaise sauce on a croissant . Made me fall in love with the place (breakfast was the 1st time I tried the restaurant).
The salami omelette with olives, spanish onion and mushroom served on ciabatta with grilled tomato ($12) was a let down, but that's 'cos I don’t fancy the ingredients - the one who ordered it liked it...
The Rising Sun ($13.50) consisted of 2 eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, spinach, hash brown and grilled tomato on ciabatta. Everything was excellent.
They also have a range of burgers, vegetarian options and sweet items like triple stack of homemade pancakes. All are reasonably priced.
Don’t forget the Italian Hot Chocolate ($5.50) – the thickest hot chocolate ever. Even thicker than Brunetti’s…
