DiMattina Coffee

We ended up here because Las Chicas had a 45 min wait for tables & a further 45 min wait for food. There was another café in between the 2 but it was too empty for a Sunday brunch so we didn't want to risk it. All I can say is, maybe we should have waited for Las Chicas.

Service was bad.
1. The waitress seemed to forget about the people dining outside.
2. When she remembered, she asked us to wait while she took the order of the table beside us (who came later than us) because they wanted coffee. Err…so did we!
3. Ordered a Lava Breakfast, add sausage. It came with the sausage replacing the bacon instead. 4. Ordered the dish called 'Mushrooms' - which included ricotta baked toast and mushrooms, add poached eggs. It came just as 'Mushrooms'. They brought it back, took forever & it came out as poached eggs on toast with a side of mushrooms. At that point, we cancelled the order.

Incompetent waiters & waitresses. Or maybe it was the silly naming of the dish.

The Lava Breakfast was reasonably big with the 'healthy' toast being fresh but over toasted til hard. Scrambled eggs & mushrooms were plain & unappetising. Avocado was ok. The sausage was the best ingredient. & you know something is wrong when I say that 'cos I don’t like most sausages.
