Gluttony, It's a Sin

My friends went on & on about this place so I finally tried it early 2005. Had the Scrambled Special - scrambled eggs topped with sautéed spinach and lime Dijon hollandaise on a potato, mushroom, onion and tomato fry-up all on a slab of thick cheese toast. It was sinful, and oh-so-good (especially considering the amount you got for around $12+).
So I decided to bring my family here late 2005. This time I tried the Warm Deluxe Breakfast - poached eggs on a mixture of baby greens, bacon, massive croutons, avocado and smoked salmon. It was bland, the portions seemed to have shrank, the price seemed to have increased and service was cold. Not to mention the salmon wasn't the freshest.
To check if they were just having a bad day, we went there again early 2006. Poached eggs, lime dijon hollandaise, bacon, cheese toast amongst a roquette-tomato-red onion salad.
Other dishes my friends ordered (I can’t remember their names - there’s quite a lot of variety)…
It seems Gluttony is not all it used to be... Service was just as bad, unwilling to change anything on the menu (and they weren't crowded). It definitely does not represent it's name - such a pity.
