Breizoz French Creperie owner and chef Jean-Marie Blanchot grew up in Brittany, the home of the beloved crepe and galette (savoury crepe madewith buckwheat flour). Watch your crepes being made at the counter - free smells while it looks deceptively simple.

The traditional drink to enjoy with crepes is cider so we had to try it. Lower in alcohol than the English variety and softer and drier than the Australian kind but I'm still not a fan.

Service was cheery in this little nook. Food was really good. The Boudin Blanc aka Veal sausage & mushroom($14.00) was delightful. Enough ingredients and quality ingredients at that.

The Praline & Chocolat ($9.50) although very normal a combination, was fresh and complemented each other perfectly.

Update:

We went back & chose to enjoy the sunshine on the tables outside but this turned into frustration as we waited forever for service to order, for water, and for food! The place still delivered excellent crepes, just be prepared to wait.

We went back to basics with the egg, ham and cheese crepe ($9) - we actually ordered the super complete which had those ingredients + mushrooms & tomatoes but they got it wrong & we didn't want to wait for another 40 minutes to allow them to get the order right so we just made do... A tad salty but the egg was delicious.

We also had the Banana & Rum Flambee ($11) which came flaming as promised and overall really well presented. My only complaint being how stingy they were with the bananas. Or should I say banana? Not as if they were $14/kg like 2 years ago!

Until I find a better crepe place, this remains a solid 4 beans.
