Middle eastern takes on your standard breakfast food. They make it veryclear that they strictly will not modify any items on the menu...

And my choice of Poached eggs served with bacon and chilli jam came with either a Bloody Mary ($18.50) or a Virgin Mary ($16.50). He had to drink theformer, and complained it had too much Tabasco. Nicely poached eggs and lots of bacon on yummy Dench sourdough. But the chilli jam I was so keento try tasted almost like Nasi Lemak (a Malaysian dish) chilli for the ikan bilis (small fish).

Having not read any reviews prior to going, we didn't know the SyrianFrench toast with honey yoghurt labna, rhubarb, orange blossom syrup and pistachio kernels, atop crusty and buttery French bread was the specialty. Darn it! Even with some ingredients I wouldn't usually eat, I would have ordered that had I known it was a must-try on almost every review written.

The other dish mentioned a lot on reviews was the Poached eggs, shaved ham, roasted tomato, spicy pork and fennel sausage, shallot jam and rocket. Specifically the pork sausage. We didn't see that on the menu!

He had the Shashouka - baked eggs in a spicy Israeli style tomato casserole ($11). Too much coriander and spices for me.

Just remember it's "Gingerlee" not "Ginger Lee" for the latter shouldnot be googled at work!
