With the bar prominently located in the centre of the room and red, comfy furniture designed for lounging with drinks, you wouldn't imagine this place serves decent food, which it does - there's a variety of tapas, pastas, salads etc. Friendly service & good coffees make this a favourite breakfast spot for people working nearby (they are only open for breakfast mon-fri). Try the coffee & toast (fruit toast/normal with spreads) for $5.50.

Better still, try the banana bread. The best excluding my own (which has chocolate!) but it was what started me trying many recipes, in hope of matching up to Yak's standard.
Service comes with a smile and they find little excuses to give you extra bits of well-spread toast, keeping you happy – e.g. when there was a long queue or when they accidentally gave my toast to the lady behind me.
